RO4835 PCB By Feature

Impedance Control RO4835 PCB

Using this material, the need to reduce signal distortions in devices is answered. This makes it an Impedance Control PCB.

High Frequency RO4835 PCB

This type of laminate makes it possible to obtain the desired threshold for impedance measurements suitable for High Frequency boards.

RF RO4835 PCB

Aside from being used in RF circuits, this type of material is equally useful for related products like point-to-point connectors. RF applications need precision in signal integrity.

High Tg RO4835 PCB

Specific devices for high-speed applications will not function without the use of High Tg, for example, those used in telecom tools.

Multilayer RO4835 PCB

This material is a really suitable product for Multilayer PCBs, ranging from 4-Layer to 40 Layer PCB, even 3-Layer PCB.

Rigid RO4835 PCB

In order to ensure quality, rigid PCBs must be examined thoroughly; this is particularly true for more expensive Rogers material.

What is RO4835 Material in PCB?

The RO4835 is a part of Rogers Corporation’s line of RO4000 laminates.

This material is hydrocarbon ceramic in composition.

It does not require specific via treatment like the other ceramic PCBs because of this special composition.

Even though the material is intended for high frequency use, Rogers markets this product as being FR4-process friendly, which lowers the cost.

It’s similar to high-end high frequency materials composed of ceramic and/or PTFE, also produced by Rogers.

The RO4835 boasts of its effectiveness in delaying oxidation.

What are the Advantages of Using RO4835

What are the Advantages of Using RO4835?

The benefits of using the material on your boards are as follows:

  • Less expensive compared to Rogers 5870, 5880, 6002 and 6006
  • In the same way as the other, more expensive Rogers products, you can use it in Microwave and RF applications.
  • It carries the UL 94 V-O certification for flame resistance.
  • Wonderful performance for Plated Through Hole board designs
  • Useful for multilayer PCB stack-ups with a 4, 5, 8 and higher layer count

Applications that Use RO4835

This material is used in a wide-range of circuit boards.

The following sectors of industry are applicable:

  • Automotive applications – such as toll collection, GPS, navigation & safety
  • RF applications – including short-range and long-range communication
  • Power applications, especially amplifiers with high voltage capacity
  • Military use – missile guidance & telemetry systems

Since these are advanced applications, the PCBs you order should be handled carefully by seasoned engineers and staff who follow hygienic procedures.

RO4835 Fabrication

RO4835 versus FR4 PCB Material

The most economical PCB material is the FR4 laminate and prepreg.

  • However, the R04835 is preferable to it due to the following reasons.
  • It can be utilized for high-frequency circuits because of its low dielectric loss.
  • It is a mechanically robust material because of its dimensional stability.
  • In contrast to some FR4 materials, it is CAF resistant.

However, there is a similarity between the RO4835 and FR4.

This cutting-edge Rogers material works with FR4 procedures such as automated handling systems for FR4 copper clad material.

RO4835 versus PTFE Ceramic PCB Material

Some PTFE and Ceramic PCB devotees have switched to using RO4835 laminates and prepreg.

  • It is because, despite having performance characteristics comparable to those of Rogers’ High Frequency materials, this Rogers material is more affordable.
  • It is possible to use the Rogers 4000 series for microwave applications.
  • Excellent heat performance, similar to PTFE and Ceramic PCB.
  • You can also install blind via and buried via on the RO4835. SMD mounting and BGA mounting are both options.

Lastly, RO4835 is as customizable as its premium counterparts.

  • “The personnel were excellent, and they called us as requested early in the morning. They were courteous and avoided attempting to sell me anything I didn’t require. Extremely competent, trustworthy, and professional describe PCBTok. I have never received this level of individualized service and consideration from PCB firms before, especially in my home country. PCBTok is incredibly quick compared to our colleagues here, especially for prototyping services. Keep it up, and you will get more referrals from me and my colleagues.”

Norman Olsen, Business Development Manager from Tampere, Finland
  • “Fantastic PCBTok has enthusiastic sales representatives. However, they never push their way in. I’ll stay a devoted customer as long as they continue to produce a terrific job, charge a very reasonable fee, and offer excellent service and communication. They kept me updated on the order’s status and the manufacturing process throughout, precisely outlining what was required at each stage. I will therefore return for my second and third orders this year alone.”

Benny Bréau, Supply Chain Director from Nantes, France
  • “For the past five years, PCBTok has served as our supplier. They have always been quite effective and professional. I recently placed an order with them for reverse engineering. They couldn’t have been nicer, and despite my doubts, they succeeded. We’ll keep delivering our projects to them directly. No other manufacturer makes circuit boards better. These folks can be trusted wholeheartedly! Many thanks to the PCBTok team for their excellent customer service.”
